Default $16 - AK raise/push

What's your move here and why?
Raise push or open fold?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) by Hand Converter CG

CO (t918)
Button (t4179)
SB (t5130)
BB (t1540)
Hero (t1355)
MP (t378)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

1400 or lower is a good point. We can standard raise vs better /tighter opponents because we can entice reshoves from AQ,AJ who might not be calling if we shove. With 2 big stacks behind here, though, I'm def shoving.

I go from 1500 here. By 1500, shoving is still obv. +EV, but you can play the hand raising without it being super-awkward as well. So anythin less than 1500, i'm likely to shove, and around 1500 i raise it.

When we start shoving too much, we often fold out AJ & then sometimes AQ which sucks. Short handed, especially, standard raising invites worse hands to shove over our raise which is much better.

Do you think that someone who reshoves with AJ would fold it to 14 BB shove?

Yes cos Norman always says that you can't call off all your chips but if you make the last raise it's ok
