Default Tax Sticky

I know we went through this last year and as I recall we decided that it wasn't appropriate to sticky anything tax related in the Legislation Forum. I believe it was b/c then it appeared as if 2+2 was giving legal tax advice (regardless of what was up, disclaimers, etc).

As tax season starts to roll in, is it possible for me to put together a sticky that compiles a list of links to various posts that have discussed some issues at length? Or something like the Tax Myth article in the 2+2 Feb Magazine?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think a Sticky with links sounds fine. It's obvious the views expressed in each thread are those of the individual posters and not 2+2.

We have what has turned into a fairly comprehensive thread called "Tax Matters", linked in the Zoo's FAQ post.

Feel free to link to it, (and add to it), if you don't want to duplicate information.

Can we change your user name from Mike Have to Tax Haven until the middle of April just for fun?

Berge, I had suggested to Mat that we open a Tax forum as a way of consolidating all the tax related threads that appear primarily in Legislation, Finance, and the Zoo. When the Neteller stuff hit, I put it on the back burner, but I do intend to make the case, as there has been significant previous discussion on this.

Would you agree Berge, that having a single forum for Tax threads to be moved to, would be preferable to keeping those threads in legislation?

If you want to open a Tax forum id volunteer to mod it, as I am an accounting major so I know the answer to some of the basic questions.

We don't really get THAT many tax questions. I would rather just alter the description on one of the forums to tell people to put their tax questions there.
