I just don't see the point of this. You have the top pair. It's blind vs. blind. Just keep on betting.

[/ QUOTE ]I figured he was betting more than calling.

[/ QUOTE ]well I disagree with this.

And would you people please stop saying "he never folds worse"...whatever, he will fold better tens...and even if he really never folds worse that completely doesnt matter a bit.

I really like what Pat Southern said about this hand. I agree that a lot of the villains percieved range picked up extra outs on this turn and by betting we are going to get value from these hands and shoved on by worse some percentage of the time.

If we check and turn checks through for pot control its pretty gross, and we have to think that is reasonably likely to happen with many of the hands we are ahead of and want value from.

If you and this regular had a lot of history and he had been floating you relentlessly, id like a CRAI with a semibluff hand a ton more than over repping top pair here. I see no reason to get fancy and do anything besides bet/bet/bet.

I wouldn't c/r the turn for reasons given previously. c/c both accomplishes your goal, and i don't think he's going to call with a better hand. If the board was more drawy, I would understand the raise.

If he never folds worse this shove is absolutely brilliant.

However, he rarely folds better. Relying on aggressive villains to lay down top pair top kicker in a blind vs blind situation where the other blind is also agressive and good is sketchy at best.
Of course, if he's not laying down KT, he's probably calling with JT and maybe T9 as well.

And please explain to me how it doesn't matter a bit if he's never folding 'worse' (I'm assuming you mean better here), because if he's never folding better but rarely calling worse, why are you making this move?
