The interesting point on this hand is that UTG+1 had 2 limpers behind him.

Therefore I gave him a wider range for his 3-bet, than I would do if we were heads-up, as he has to kick out the limpers.

So the end of the story:

I typed in the chat-box "KK+?" and shoved - he turned over KK and I lost. Still I think the shove was correct on this situation imo.

the shove may have been correct, but it's a lot more marginal here than a little later in the tournament, at least then it's somewhat more likely that your opponent could be re-raising putting you on a steal after the multiple limpers, however, it's unlikely a good player is going to come to that conclusion when the bb is t40

however the more important issue is you typing "KK+?" in chat, this is pretty much always completely wrong imo

This will almost always be QQ+ or AK.

If it was heads up, then shoving might be more correct. But in my experience players (especially decent players) tend not make these type of plays in a 4way field without a really good hand.

I agree Lev, his range is too wide to get away from this, I think I do what you did... nh.

We can see 22+ , not many aces are doing this, but when you consider this....

i dont know. given the read that the player recognized the other i just dont think the range is that wide.

although i can see why an argument can be made that it would be wider because of that exact fact.

ham,

i completely agree that this is no bluff.
the question is how often is this a value bet with TT+,AQ to eliminate the limpers and get heads up with me to make the shove with QQ correct.

in my usual donkaments I never fold QQ preflop and I think this is the correct play in SSMTT. this situation was interesting for me, therefore i posted it.
