Another floor decision

Lucky Chances 10-10-20 no limit game. I am a new player and post a "kill" in the CO. Limping is not allowed in this game and my kill is $40 making it 80 to go. I have cash on the table (which doesn't play) and am waiting for a chip runner to convert it. I'm last to act preflop. Folded to me and the dealer asks for my action. I tell her it's killed and I act last. Button and SB fold and the BB grabs his blind and throws his cards into the muck apparently unaware that I had posted. I point to the cards still in front of me, ask for the $40 in blinds, an argument ensues and the BB requests that the floor make a ruling. What should it be?

Since this is a NL game, it might be wise to let him have it. If this guy is a known d-bag, take the money and tell him to have a nice day.

How does the BB not notice you didn't post and the small conversation ending with "I act last"?

They let you do this? At all of LC's other games you can only post a kill from UTG.

In any case, you have cards, he doesn't. Unless you hid your cards so that he couldn't see that you had a hand, I don't see there being much in the way of discussion.

BB claimed that the dealer is required to announce the fact that I killed the pot (perhaps true, but I don't see how that entitles him to $20 after mucking his hand). Floor came over and said, "$20, what's the big deal? Just chop it." I said, "No, give me the $40, I won the pot, it should have been clear to everybody that I killed it, I had cards and told the dealer it wasn't my turn because I was killing it" over protestations from the big blind, "I had pocket tens, obviously I wasn't folding, dealer is required to announce a kill" (his cards were in the muck and irretrievable). Floor then said, "What do you want me to do?" I said, "I want you to make a decision".

Floor decision? "Chop it." God forbid they actually make the correct ruling and upset somebody...

Big blind was Marcus who is a regular and I'm sure it's obvious to him what the correct ruling is.

This is so far from anything even close to reasonable I would have to take it to the casino manager and the poker room manager.

I would have been very tempted to grab the money off of Marcus' stack here. Of course he knows the situation and there is no need to placate him - he just screwed you. Unfortunately, this type of ruling seems to be my standard experience at LC's. Fortunately for you, this seems to be the only money you've ever lost recently [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

The floor asking a question like that tilts me.

I was at Bellagio last weekend in the 15/30 game. After a limp and a fold, the 2 seat put out six chips for a raise before the 3 seat had acted. The 1 seat folded and the 10 and 9 called, while the 2 noticed the 3 putting out six chips for a raise of her own. So 2 seat tries to three-bet, but the dealer tells him he can't, because others had acted on their hands. He and the 3 seat (who cleaerly know each other) erupt in protest, and after a little bit of arguing, I and someone else call the floor.

The dealer tells the floor what happened, the 2 and 3 tell a slightly distorted version of what happened, and then the 2 and 3 go back to arguing with the dealer. I say something to the effect of "Hey, we don't have to argue about this, we have the floor here," while wondering why the floor hasn't stepped in already. Floor shoots me a dirty look and asks "What do you want me to do?" as though it's possible that we called him over just because we thought he'd be interested in the discussion.

"I want you to make a ruling so we can keep playing."

So he apologizes to seats 2 and 3, reprimands seats 1, 9, and 10 for "playing too fast" and at least makes the correct ruling that since significant action occurred, seat 2 cannot three bet.
