PF and the flop are fine. The river shove is awful any hand he called the flop with is looking you up on the river. BTW if you have KK here raising the flop is terrible here. That said there might be some value in this river with kk if the flush didn't hit.

im gonna go against the grain and say the river shove is okay. he's gonna have a realllllly tough time calling with a big pair here, which seems to be fairly likely given the action. unfortunately, an ace is likely as well. really comes down to 2 factors: is he always shoving an ace on the flop? and is he calling the raise on the flop with a big pair?

i didn't have KK, it was a poorly worded hypothetical just about the value of a bet on the river. I was basically trying to say if we beat QQ, JJ, and 10-10, is it worth it to bet this river with the risk of losing to an ace. basically do we think these pairs call enough to make a bet worthwhile with a holding like KK. If this isn't the case then I think a bluff here is decent.

I still think this gets looked up a lot by KK and QQ, but I'm not so sure about jacks or 10-10. I don't think villain has an ace.

like I said he plays pretty straight forward and I can't see him playing an ace like this. I had been playing aggressively and had taken some pots without showing a hand. so i think it is possible that he called the flop with a big pair. he took a long time to call.

well, going back to the kk thing. no, shoving is still bad here because he will sometimes have an ace and u have perfectly good showdown value. whereas with 99 u don't. if u check back here u lose 99% of the time.

so, by my weird convoluted logic, if we shouldn't shove KK then we can shove 99. boom goes the dynamite.
