Painting is scheduled for this coming week. Flooring the week after. Custom wine cabinet about a month. Should be fully done by early December.

[ QUOTE ]
Here are some pics of the main floor. We're also going to do the master bedroom, but I was too lazy to walk upstairs and take pics.

The long narrow area is where I'd guess 75% of the work will be done.

Here is the current status, with paint and flooring in, and new layouts/other furniture/window treatments to go in steadily over the next 3-4 weeks.

Will stain the staircase rail darker in the coming weeks.

More photos as substantial progress is made.

Stripes in progress.

Love the floors. Color warms the space. I'm still not sold on the stripes though.

I don't think the stripey room has enough chairs.

/end sarcasm

Kitchen cabinets seem a bit light to go with the paint. If they were darker, like a cherry/mahogany stain I think it might go better.

Very very nice work. I used to work in high-end construction. It is very rare to find a sensible and good interior designer. If you ever hear the construction workers talk about that "(censored)," chances are, they are talking about the designer. Good find, you definitely got your money's worth.

Remember guys, that this is shot on a digital camera, and the colors are probably not matching well with each other. I think in real life, it looks tons better.

Clark - the hardwood floor looks great.

I'm not really digging the color/stripes in the living room. I like the olive in an isolated room, like a study, but not throughout the whole house.

Also, maybe something can be done to freshen up the stone on the fireplace? Maybe not translating through the pics, but the color of the stone looks tired and kind of blends into the new color of the wall instead of popping.

Of course I am neither a professional interior designer nor gay, so my opinion probably doesn't matter much.

Also, what's up with the knobs on the bannister?

Any chance of removing the carpet on the stairs, too?
