Re: Hillary: Replace \"on your own\" society with \"shared responsibility
I find the attitude of most of the posters here shocking and ridiculous. By saying that we have to move to a direction where governement has a bigger role doesn't mean absolutely at all the same thing as socialism. The logic of some of these so called expert posters here is horrendous. The US don't have a real left wing at all. I laught at your remarks that left-wing Democrats are closet socialists. You simply have no idea what you're talking about. If you visited Europe once you would probably say that they are all socialist countries.
I can understand the logic behind "state is the mother of all problems" even though I don't agree with it but these posts that claim that the US has a danger of sliding into socialism are completely retarded. A move to the "left" in a country like the US means that in the global scale the US is still one of the most "right-wing" countries in the world. You guys lack so much perspective. But I guess it's good propaganda to paint all non-neoliberalists as socialists and communists. It's just not really intellectual. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I think most 2+2 ers know the real agenda of the left is to move as far toward socialism as possible, without actually saying it outloud. [/ QUOTE ] Strange as this may seem to someone as wise and all-knowing as yourself, some people might view a move toward socialism positively. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah well ... those people are imbeciles and I have had enough of their idiocy. I am approaching a level of fed up with them that these "people" may want to watchout for stray bullets [/ QUOTE ] Never really noticed you in this forum before, but this candid post of your thoughts really makes me like you. Not in my top five yet, but keep this up and you might make it. |
