Default 5-10NL Fist Pumping?

I don't really know much about villian. We played one hand before the big one where, i raised 77 and he flated me on the button. flop comes 689 with two diamonds, i check call a pot bet, the turn is a 10 and it goes check check. the river comes an A and the diamonds didnt make it. i checked and he bet pot again, i called and my striagh was good.

Flop: ($80) Js, 4d, Jd (2 players)

SB checks, hero bets $80, SB raises to $200, Hero calls $120.



Turn: ($480) 3h (2 players)

SB bets $480, hero raises to $1920?

oK, I'm def. not as good as you all, so Im sure i played it wrong. Any way you can go into alittle more detail? Whats your plan on the river? Hes obs. shoving, are we calling?

no, i wouldnt call a shove from an unknown on the river. most people dont get in 160bb when you quite probably have strong trips without a better hand.

If we just call flop and call turn, our hand looks like a big pocket pair, not Jx. Doesn't under-repping our hand mandate a river call?

I'm not thrilled about the idea of just calling and having a diamond river, nor the possibility of folding the better hand when a diamond whiffs.

What are you doing with KJ? AJ?

i'd call AJ and that's where i'd draw my line. and i disagree that calling flop and turn looks like a big pair. calling flop looks like a big pair. calling turn looks like trips. this is not a spot where i'd expect an unknown to be triple barrel bluffing basically ever.

He just potted it, so we're going to trap a lot more worse hands by calling, rather then raising which lets him off the hook.
