Default Another common spot

Standard TAG villain. It's my understanding that at one point in time, it used to be that bet flop, check turn, bet river should be given very little respect, but lately, I feel like this is always a value bet.

first thing that strikes me as odd is just the general passive nature of the hand, and it doesnt look good.

other than PF being a 3 bet sometimes i think the hand was played fine as long as you called the river.

no, this was played fine. Depending on how often he 2 barrels etc riv could be either a fold or call (people who 2 barrel a lot are almost always betting a Q on the turn as well). Though people nowadays generally rarely take this line as a bluff, so if you don't have good reads then fold.

hes prob thinking u can 3b preflop. betting turn can def be a good option given how drawy the board is i think there are a ton of draws that may c/c this turn as well as worse Ts and once you take the lead on the turn he'll prob check again on the river.

so you lose the same to better hands that c/c turn and check river (that would have bet river if u check turn) and u gain money from hands like KT/JT that c/c turn (and would not bet river) as well as draws (which will c/c turn and may or may not bluff river if turn gets checked thru).

I'd bet/fold turn here and prob fold river as played. I think calling preflop > 3betting also, but this is a style thing.

call river.

and yea, bet the turn unless he's very aggro, like the kind that c/r semibluffs here with any decent draw.
