C/F I dont think villain is folding.

You'd be suprised to see how many actually folds mid pockets here when they are faced with a decision for their stacks.

I'm always surprised by the exact opposite when I shove AK on the turn here (which is always)

Really? I think it depends on the situation. On the bubble I'd guess a 21/12 type of opponent folds quite often, and depending on how highly he/she cares about moving up a spot in the payladder, we may have bubble spots for every place. I'd take a glance on official pokerrankings and try to decide whether he/she is gunning for 1st or just want to move up a spot.

borderline spot but I think our being in the SB and OOP maks this a preflop push...not losing that much value cause if we get called pre the hand is hard to play with these stacks

Why are we shoving 20BB's PF? Making it 7.5 instead of 9 fixes the stack size problem just as easily.

I bet about 10kish on the flop. C/f the turn. Still have 40k left and are in fine shape. I don't think he is folding and unless he is a retard we shouldn't be ahead.

If the villian had been floating in position, I might c/r.

Please explain why raising to 9K is bad.

Apparently because of the low stack size.

Why is this such a tough fold on the turn?

Raise to 8-9K pre. Half-2/3 flop. check turn and see what happens, fold to any decent sized bet. Hero still has a stack to play with if he folds here.

Shoving turn might work but i think its spew against a lot of villains range.

To those saying why 9k instead of 7.5k pf - I feel like raising to 7.5k gets flat called by a very wide range of hands here. I'm raising to 9k bc I want him to fold or RR, instead of having to play this hand OOP.

I dbed him and he has like $200 net over 36 games or something, so moving up could be a concern. After time banking on the turn to the last second while talking to my buddy on AIM about whether to shove or check (two to a hand?! OMG!), I checked with a plan to c/f. My gut told me he wasn't folding one pair.

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
3 folds, Hero raises to t9000, BB calls t6000 (pot was t12500).

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (t20000, 2 players)

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t48000, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t12000, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: t12000 returned to BB.

Results:
Final pot: t48000

His underbet is totally ghey but I can't see any other way to play this other than folding.
