Posting blind: I'd call it about 85% yes.

Having read your post:

Being the way this hand played out, would you have bet the flop to start off with?

[/ QUOTE ]

You realize that what happened on the later streets has nothing to do with your flop action, right?

Yeah, bet the flop. There's only one guy left to act for you to hope to get a chance to c/r.

:G:
I bet this flop 100% of the time. How do you feel if the flush card came after you check the flop. By betting you make it incorrect for the flush to draw and also punish the Jx hands. I also don't like the river cap, I think calling three bet is fine. Let me know if I'm way off base here because I'm still learning limit HE.

Calling with a flush draw is correct here. Flush draws will often get the correct odds regardless of what you do. Betting this flop is purely for value.

Sorry HotPockets, didn't even see this. This is a river cap all day. Opponent has a flush like 95% of the time.

Make the J's into A's and I would be more inclined to agree. As it stands, the only hand we have reason to be afraid of is 44, so it's an easy cap.

This is my fault, I misread the board and thought hero had a set and not a boat. Obviously, this is a cap.

*grunch*
FLOP:
Bet - Hoping to build a bigger pot for my big hand.
Bet - There's a few draws there I don't want to give a free card even in this currently small pot. That also means it is more likely I get callers. It's 4-way -> someone(s) will probably call and giving a free card is more dangerous than e.g. HU.
