why is that so shocking? 21 and over is the legal minimum age across most of the country.

Can anybody hook me up with a fake ID?

Read the FAQ, and enjoy your time off.

If I was 19 I'd be shocked. First time in 20 years I'm glad I'm not 19.

100 max buy in does no limit the pot at all. after many hours of rebuys at 2/5 nl everyone could have $2000 in front of them and all players go all in and you have a $20,000 pot.

This is how I read it too.

The only mention of poker in the list of covered games is
[ QUOTE ]
High stakes poker games as provided in Part V Section L

[/ QUOTE ]
which I take to mean the 6 high stakes poker tournaments allowed each year above the limit established for the parimutuals.

This would also explain the statement on page 14 that [ QUOTE ]
the Tribe prohibits entry onto the casino floor of anyone under 18 years of age.

[/ QUOTE ]

Looks like the age limit will be 18+ on whatever poker is spread on a regular basis, but 21+ on class III games. It also looks as if they're trying to keep calss III games running 24 hrs and just shut down the poker room 12 hrs a day.

Of course 100 max buy in limits the pot. Try sitting down at a newly formed table with 100 buy-in and see if you can get a pot larger than $1000. In July, they tried offering poker games without limits to buy-ins and the pari-mutuels cried foul and they stopped offering it. The intent is pretty clear to me and that is the Seminoles must play by the same rules that the pari-mutuel cardrooms play by so they do not have an unfair advantage.

Also, you would think the Seminoles would push more for 24 hour cardrooms and not give a crap about the buy-in rule. They make the same drop with a $20,000 pot as they do with a $50 pot. However, shutting down for 12 hours per day will cut their income in half and end their largest competitive advantage.

With this compact, their largest competitive advantage will be blackjack and other casino table games, which generate a lot more money than poker tables do.

"shutting down for 12 hours per day will cut their income in half and end their largest competitive advantage."

Somehow I doubt that they're making the same $ from 2AM-2PM as they are from 2PM-2AM. Although I'd prefer them to be open 24/7.
