I've always liked the Milwaukee Brewer's logo, with the MB and the mitt.

This is an interesting topic. I took some graphic design classes for fun, and my professor told stories about the ridiculous amount of money some designers are paid to make logos. I think some big corporations have paid amounts in the healthy six-figures (maybe even more, can't recall exactly) for one logo.

Also, Nike only paid $35 for the swoosh logo in 1971.

I'd be interested if you can think of more. I don't know any as cool as the mitt.

I am biased, but I feel like WSU has the best logo in sports.

Wow, I never noticed the arrow, lol.

Me either. Now I'm not going to be able to look at it without seeing the damn thing.

This was done on purpose. People have asked why FedEx didn't make the arrow a different color, or shade it, so you notice it instantly. The reason is once it gets pointed out, it sticks in your head and you notice it everytime you see the logo. If it were more obvious, ironically, you would pay less attention to it. It's a brilliant way to get you to think about the logo for an extra split-second every time you see it.

Also, the $35 for the swoosh is interesting and true, but it should be mentioned that the graphic artist responsible got an envelope full of Nike stock a few years later in gratitude.

Edit: Realized the subtlety of the FedEx logo is discussed in the linked article. Oh well, if you didn't click the link, it's an interesting factoid.
