Al, assuming you are taking this from SS1, he is referring to a 7SH/L where there is no low qualifier; 2nd best high has a fine chance of winning, so long as you guess correctly which way your opponent(s) are going, and picking the one they won't. I think that would play different than any of todays poker - his game was predicated on knowing villain hole cards + wrecking them with math. As far as i know, isn't spread anymore. i know this has been asked before, but i cant find the post or remember the answers. which poker variants give a skilled player the biggest edge against a fish?

tmc, i really like 5-draw, especially in the PL structure. I like it for it's profit:rake ratio...what i hate is that there are no good games going at reasonable stakes. I wonder why?

Modern 7S/8 is also still a good candidate for shark-to-fish edge; whoever said NLHE (!), the whole point of holdem is that fish can be constrained in a 40/60 net where they stay alive long enough to convince themselves taht rebuying is a good idea.

Big Limpin, I agreed with your post but why would you assume I am taking this from SS1 when I state that it is from 'Sklansky on Poker'?
