Default friend donated my clothes?

So after a stint in vegas, I went to visit my two friends who are spending the summer in LA for a week before coming back to the east coast. i didn't have a flight home yet but planned to just book something on southwest. so i booked a flight for about 330 bucks but after talking to my mom, she said she had a free flight on southwest that I could use since this was pretty much the most expensive southwest flight one can take. the flight left in about 2 hours though so I had to quickly throw my stuff together and get out of there if I was going to get to LAX on time. So I did and I made my flight.

But, upon my return I noticed I had forgotten at least a couple pieces of clothing. I'm still not totally sure since I had a lot, I basically lived out of a suit case for 6 weeks. But, I know I left a practically brand new pair of jeans which probably ran about $75 and an almost brand new polo shirt which was probably 40ish. So I call my friend and he says he's not sure the place is really messy but he probably has the stuff.

I kind of forgot about until today, so I call him and he just moved out of the place yesterday and couldn't even fit all of his stuff in his baggage coming back east so he says he donated some of his stuff and my stuff?

wtf?

Your own fault for not packing your clothes.

You can't expect your friend to keep your things for you indefinitly.

You can't expect your friend to drag your clothes around everywhere just because you forgot to take them with you. Would have been nice of him to do so, and the most normal thing to do I think, but you still have nothing to be upset about.

They must not have been that important.

I mean you forgot them... twice.

If you spend over $100 on a pair of jeans and a polo shirt, you deserve to lose them.

No, I'm just not stupid enough to spend $50 on a "designer" shirt that is made of $4 of fabric.
