Default I play every street wrong ?

Bellagio 15/30 10 handed

I get into a very bizarre run of cards where I'm raising a ton, and showing down strong hands (although not always winners). I think I got KK back to back hands before this.

I get JJ utg, and raise. Fishy guy in MP goes to 3town. A note here that I really didn't know how fishy he was. My friend later told me that he raised A5o in EP at one point, but I never saw that.

Once he 3 bet I did something really weird. I didn't go 4. Under almost any other circumstance I go 4 there with a smile. But I'd been running so hot, I thought maybe just calling here might be a "ya you got me" type move, and I could be a little deceptive with the right flop texture. In hindsight I'm really mad I didn't go 4. We're head's up.

Flop

A A rag (with no flush draw)

I check-call with the intention of representing the A on the turn

turn:

A A rag rag, still no draws.

I check, and he bets pretty calmly. The plan was to raise right ? I go against the plan, butcher this street, and call. but I plan to call any river that isn't a scary card.

river:

A A rag rag T

That was one of the cards I didn't want. In the range of hands I beat where I felt this guy could 3bet me preflop, I was counting on beating KQs and TT.

I check and I'd like to think I did it in a manner that said "go ahead, I'm calling", without overdoing it (like putting call chips in my hand).

He pretty calmly reaches down and tosses in his last bet

I fold.

My friend later said that was a pretty bad fold, and said if I'd called the turn, it was with the intention of calling the river given the pot size.

There are obvious arguements for changing every street. But my question is do you call the river expecting to see a small pocket pair or KQs ? the pot has some 7BB in it, and I give myself maybe a 1 in 10 chance to win this. So I thought the fold wasn't as bad as he made it sound.

I hate this fold on the river. You have totally underrepresented your hand. And by underrepresenting it, you have also given KK and QQ the chance to take you to value town, since you get exactly no raises in. I would almost always check raise this flop and lead the turn OOP, and evaluate from there (given he didn't threebet us on the flop, which turns into a call and fold UI).

So basically you want him to make a good fold with 66-TT, and want to get 3bet the times he has AQ AK?

You'll never, ever get a better hand to fold here, so I'd forget about "representing" an A. You might be able to check-raise and get him to call down with a lower PP, but you might also let him off the hook for cheap. I think I'd just play this WA/WB and check/call down, or maybe c/c, c/c, b/f.

As played, I'd call this river. He'll have 77-99 often enough to make it profitable, imo.

thanks, that's pretty much the part I was struggling with. I mean during the whole hand I knew I was misplaying it. It was like an out of body nit experience, lol. And it was caused entirely by the previous orbit of non stop cards.
