Default Two Laptop questions - XP vs Vista, and 1600x1200 question

Are there any laptops that have the equivalent of 1600 x 1200 resolution? I was scooting around Dell online and was wondering whether any of the XPS systems might . . . hell, the one I was looking at has a 17" monitor . . .

Also -- any advantage to sticking with XP Professional as opposed to moving to Windows Vista? Is the latter still buggy and not worth it?

For poker you are probably better off with XP still, PAHUD is buggy for me on Vista and there are still issues with some of the poker sites.

I looked recently and couldnt' find a 1600 x 1200 monitor. Many, however, have 1920 x 1200 - these are typically 17" widescreens.

I have been using Vista and not had many troubles, but XP seems more reliable.

Given a choice, I'd use XP. I think it also uses less system resources, which is a good thing.

You can still buy XP Pro and install it yourself. You'll pay through the nose for it, but if you are dead set on not running Vista there you go.

That's an option or you can use a custom builder like Puget Systems
