He mostly just seems like a moronic populist; essentially CNN's answer to Bill O'Reilly. I don't really watch his show often, but every time I turn it on, he's railing against illegal immigrants. I didn't think he actually covered anything else. I don't really hate the guy, because I don't really know him or watch him, but as I said, when I've been exposed to him, he mostly just seems to be fretting about the 'invasion' of Mexicans coming our way. |

My post must have hit home. Further more I do not advocate genocide. Atomic Weapons were used on Japan and no one calls that genocide. In fact if history tells us anything dropping a few A bombs on the middle east will enable us to be close allies in the future just like Japan. When someone commits murder, we do not get upset at that because it is ILLEGAL to commit murder, we get upset because it is WRONG/BAD/IMMORAL/DANGEROUS. Can you imagine how much of a fool we would think a person to be if they screamed out "Those murderers are doing something ILLEGAL!" "What part of ILLEGAL do you people not understand?" And in these situations no one uses the 'they broke the rule of law' agrument to get others to agree with them. They use the 'murder is WRONG' argument to get people to agree with them. And that's my point with respect to anything regarding immigration issues. Tell me why it is 'wrong' and discuss those points. I do not accept arguments that consist of 'because it's ILLEGAL' (it's OK with me if you do, but I don't). If it is wrong tell me why. Murder is not wrong because it is 'illegal'. Rape is not wrong because it is against the rule of law. Maybe you are not smart enought to figure out right from wrong without some schmoe from washington dc telling you what it is, but I am. Unjust laws are unjust. If you subjugate your ability to determine right from wrong to politicians and police officers I feel sorry for you. Do you look to 'the rule of law', the 'legality' of something before looking to your own sense of right and wrong? If something is not against 'the rule of law' or 'legal' does that mean it is good and should be done? Do you need 'the rule of law' or 'illegality' of the act to prevent you from engaging in violence or dangerous behavior? Do you think 'the rule of law's existance (whatever that means..to me it seems like an idea) somehow prevents dangerous and violent people from engaging in violence? I dismiss an argument if the assertion, the basis of the 'argument', is 'such and such 'needs to happen 'because the rule of law' or because it is 'illegal'. If an action or inaction is good or bad it should be argued on it's own merits, not because some schmucks in washington dc said it is good or bad (i.e. they deem it 'illegal'). As an example: how many here think that because of 'the rule of law' marijuana smokers need to be brougth into court and punnished? After all, they are breaking 'the rule of law' aren't they? They are ILLEGAL! Isn't the fabric of society going to be ruined because of this disregard for 'the rule of law'?!!! How many politicians and political commentators who spout off about 'the rule of law' are getting hummers and massages with happy endings from escorts? Does this not make them all hyppocrites? How many follow 100% of the laws 100% of the time? Are they all not hyppocrites? That's my main point. That the 'rule of law' argument is BS and the overwhelming majority of people who use it only use it selectively about issues that they are againt, or worse, they expect to be exempted from it lol. |

I am not a US citizen but my understanding is that the support of illegal aliens come from corporations, specially in the hospitality, meat and agricultural industries that want both the benefit of illegal aliens but no responsibility for the enforcement of the law. In my country a corporation employing illegal immigrants gets fined! I never understood the current US mentality with regard to immigration. |
