Re: Tony Blair
[ QUOTE ]
It's a bold statement by Tony Blair, especially when you consider he's from the liberal party in a more liberal country (although in matters of what you can say on race that may not be the case as the USA is very liberal/PC in that respect). Yeah one good thing about blair is that he doesn't lack courage to speak up. He is Labour not Liberal btw. The money on this issue to be made is in saying, "The problem is education, housing, jobs, we need to throw more tax money at the problem." So you have politicians, beaurecrats, preachers, teachers, principals, etc all spending more money rather than considering the possibility that what Blair says is true. You do realise that most of the UK government policies aimed at dealing with this are the above. Again Blair is Labour, and the way they deal with problems is to tax and spend [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Tony Blair
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] "by pretending it is not young black kids doing it". [/ QUOTE ] If an American politician said that, he'd be in trouble. It will be interesting to see the fallout in Britain. It would be nice to have a healthy discussion on these imoprtant matters, but we usually don't do that. [/ QUOTE ] Jesse Jackson has a semi-famous quotation to the effect that if he were to encounter youths at night he'd prefer that they were white. The topic is off limits for whites. There is exactly the problem. |

Re: Tony Blair
Is the problem mostly one of violent black youths, or not?
I mean, I can see a lot of bias, like whites on cocaine get a slap on the wrist but balcks on crack get hard time, but let's face it, a violent crime is a violent crime. |
