I was fairly entertained watching the paid shills in the crowd hoot and holler at Q75 rainbow flops, and just generally try to keep the crowd in it. I also kept myself busy trying to figure out why the show needed 47 assistant producers running around yammering in their headsets constantly. And Kimberly Lansing doesn't hurt. But yeah, the poker sucked.

I was at the WPT Championship taping a couple of years ago, 6 hours of mind numbing boredom (I left before the end, I couldn't taske any more). Glad to have seen it, but all the pre-recorded spectator shots where they want you to go "Ohhhhhh" or "ahhhhhhhhhh" . Give me a break.

Op,

Everyone who says that WPT tapings suck, and that you show up late and still plan on being bored, is correct.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep. If you want to see it, show up an hour or more after they start. You'll get a seat right away because many people will have left or dropped over from boredom.

Not a bad thing to see if you're in the neighborhood, but it gets old quickly.

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has ever lined up for entry into the WPT final table recording. I'll be in Vegas in Dec for the Bellagio 5 diamond and wanna check it out. WPT website says doors open at 2pm, any idea how early I need to be there? There are just 2 of us going.

lololol you will be the first one!

There is a former player of my bar league who moved to Vegas and he enjoyed going to the TV taping.
