The only reason I say bet is that it getting checked through, even if it's only 10% of the time, is terrible.

I agree, Ben--a bet is better. Still, with his description of villain, I'd be shocked if it got checked through even 5% of the time...

I guess it never ever occurred to me that he could ever check. He knows I'm 3betting preflop to isolate, and that my range accounts for his range. Your method is certainly correct. I've just always thought that a cr is correct when you know you are

1) ahead
2) getting a bet out of the guy if you check

But you're not wrong about leading obviously. he'd have raised, I'd have called, and then I'd have gone nuts on the turn.

Going 5 here looks like pure spew to me. Anytime you get 4 bets in on the turn, check raised both flop and turn, and the villain still wants to get 4 bets in on the river, your 5th nuts don't look too good. A laggy CO will raise almost any K suited if folded to him, especially if he has been raising light all session, as you claim.

So what were the results. Were you drawing slim on the flop, get outdrawn on the turn, or you had the best hand the whole way and he overplayed it massively (I can only see 55 here, how he goes 4 bets on turn and river with a naked king is spewage).
