I don't like the rules of football, let's play some other game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Good point, "sudden death football" is an entirely different game from football, we should not be playing that to determine the winner.

EDIT: chim beat me to it

I don't know what the best solution is but it's a lot closer to NFL OT than college OT.

lol @ thinking the rules can't be changed. Would you prefer we go back in time so plays can't be reviewed?

[/ QUOTE ]

Plays can be reviewed at any time, regulation or overtime so WTF does replay have to do with anything? I just want the game that's played during overtime to be basically the same game that's played during regulation. Seems like you college OT guys would rather say, you know what, that "football" game that we played for 60 minutes was a pretty stupid game, now let's play Calvinball instead. 1/3 of each roster, we don't need you anymore so you can all take a lap and hit the showers.

[/ QUOTE ]

How can the OT game be close to the regualtion game if one team never plays defense and the other never plays offense?

Would you agree that a situation where one team kicks off, the other team gets to play until they turnover or score, and then they must kickoff either way and the other team gets a chance, is closer to the college OT and better than EITHER the NFL or college OT? Basically it eliminates punters.

The only thing that could be derived from your previous post was "THE RULES SAY OT IS THIS WAY, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU DON'T LIKE FOOTBALL#~~!!~" Well, if rules weren't allowed to change you'd see a game where you couldn't substitute more than 3 players at a time and possibly having field goals worth more than touchdowns.

Because kicking a field goal on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down with 5+ minutes remaining is so close to that pure, good ol' NFL regulation time that you love!

Uhh, I do. You replied to me with a stupid question and we weren't even conversing. Just hit reply to the guy you are actually talking to if you aren't going to bother to quote them.
