I play this hand fast and aggressive. Only thing you are really afraid of is a set, and you still have FE against a made flush since you have the ace.

-To expand on my answer, PSB the flop, turn, river. I would call a raise, and would push a raise if I feel the villian is loose. This is one of my favorite hands. You are actually ahead of TPTK, and I found that when I do push, I am often called by worse FD. Plus a set would likely fold, if not you will catch up enough times to make this profitable.

A set is folding to an eventual shove on the flop?

A good player no, but just enough bad players will fold with mid/bottom set-that along with the times you push out TP and catch up with your draws makes pushing a +EV. Most players at 50NL will be calling with a set, but more players are going to be calling with a worse FD.

I will also play this hand fast sometimes, like 40%. That is the great thing about a hand like this, you can play it about any way you want, the only thing that is -EV is folding.

i did badly here...

i did, in fact, lead the flop, but probably not for enough, and i was raised. I only called the raise and checked the turn.... very weak

Hero (BB): $58.50
UTG+1: $49.25

Flop: ($2.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $4, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.50

Turn: ($10.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $10, Hero??

I've managed to work my way into a kinda poor spot with this hand.. should i shove at this point? I'm not sure if i have anything beyond the flush outs... fold?
Maybe i should have 3bet the flop, but i didn't know the player so wasn't sure what to do

No NL50 player is folding a set on this flop with house outs in the rare case they are behind.

On the flop i would pot it to rep a Q. Dude calls behind. Lead out 6 ish on turn and reval river.

hands i put vil on AQ, low flush like 910 or j10 or something, or set.
