Default Best airport for Bike/Commerce?

Which airport is the best one to fly into to get to the Bike and/or Commerce? LAX, Orange County, or Burbank all cost the same for me. From the maps, it's hard to tell if one is any better than the other.

LAX, plus if you're into it, Hollywood Park is a hop, skip, and a jump from LAX

Burbank airport is a breeze to get in and out of. It's closer to Commerce on a "less" congested freeway (the 5 vs. the 10)and avoids all temptation to stop at the pit called Hollywood Park.

Burbank or Orange County by far. You will save at least 1/2 hour or more from the time you deplane to picking up your bags and getting into your car at versus LAX.

If you can go JetBlue try and fly into Long Beach airport. I think it's the best airport in the area and it is not too far from either the bike or commerce. Burbank (Bob Hope) would be an awful drive in traffic and their baggage handling system sucks big time. Just 2 outdoor (covered) conveyors and I've never waited less than 30 minutes to get my bags. Quickest way to either casino from LAX is on the 105 fwy. The supposed 1/2 hour another poster calims you will save will more than be eaten up by the fact that Burbank is so far away. I have no information about John Wayne (The OC).

I commute from the Santa Clarita Valley to card rooms almost daily. As long as the OP is not traveling before 10:00 AM, traffic is not horrible going thru downtown. Shortcut to the Bike or Commerce is taking the 5 to the 60 and then hitting 710 south. Stay off of the 101 as it is much busier throught the day. It cuts out that 2 lane section.

As for baggage, I have never had a problem flying into burbank, where I have waited hours for rental cars during peak arrivals at LAX.

Don't forgte to add travelling after 3:30 PM. The stretch of 5 fwy from the 134 to the 110 is brutal.

If you're in the mood to drive instead of sit, you can hop on the 134 east to the 2 south which dumps out at the 110, and bypass that whole mess.

If the 5's still ****ed, you can take the 110 south toward downtown and take the 5 south exit that's a bit past stadium way - it'll actually allow you to hop on the 10 east from there (even though there's no sign indicating that), and then you can take that to the 710 and bypass the whole east LA interchange.

LA traffic is super! *ugh*

I do agree with the others that have said it's almost ALWAYS faster when traveling the 5 south to hop on the 10 east to the 710 south, rather than staying on the 5. It's an extra 3 miles but it saves 10 minutes easy if traffic is even remotely slow.

If it makes any difference, I will have no luggage and be driving on a Saturday.
