Default Calling out all full-time mid-level players...study group

Hi guys,

I am calling out all the full-time players that play in the 12's,24's,and 36's on FTP (or the
equivlanet levels on Stars). I am looking to set up a network of full-time players who meet together
daily on AIM or MSN to discuss poker and help one another out. As a full-time player, I feel that
while we all value the freedom of our working hours, we need a little bit of strucutre in our daily
work. This is where my idea comes in.

Think of this as sort of a daily "board meeting" amongst all the regulars. We all meet together
before we start our session as sort of a warm-up to get everybody in the right mindset before they
get down to "work".

Ideas for our daily meeting (duration 1 to 2 hours ):

1. Everyone brings trouble spots from their previous session and we have a moderator that directs

the discussion of each hand getting everyone to contribute their opinons to each hand.

2. Everyone submits one HH from the previous day and we each review one another's HH's.

3. Discuss any current trends/new developments we are seeing.

4. Discuss new ideas and ways to play certain hands. Help each other fix one another's soft spots.

5. A place to vent our frustrations and keep one another motivated to play.

6. Sharing of databases and resources.

7. Sharing of results to see how one another is doing.

8. putting together funds to hire a coach for the group/sign up for services.

-----

Please everyone let me know what you guys think of this idea. I have one person (Fishing2do) already

involved in this idea. Now most important thing is: I need everyone to have the discipline to stick

to this. If everyone can stick to this...this group can turn into a beautiful thing.

For those who are interested, I need certain information:

1. When do you start your session?
2. When is the best time for you to meet up? What hours would you prefer?
3. How long have you been playing? Your experience level?
4. What stakes do you play?
5. What site do you play on?
6. What qualities/skills do you think you can bring to this group?
7. Where are you geographically located? What is your timezone?

- cheers!

I'd be interested. I'm not a 'full-time' player, but i'm very much trying to intensively learn the game.

1. No set time for playing
2. Don't really know to be honest. At night EST sometime is my best guess.
3. Been playing SnG's for just a month. Poker for 1.5 years.
4. 12's
5. FTP
6. Good analytical thinking, hopefully good deep stack play (i play looser than most deep).
7. EST

I think my timezone might be a showstopper, if everybody else is USA/Canada. But if this cant be made to work, it might spawn enough interest for fellow europeans to make another similar group.

Keep 'em coming guys...we need more people for this group.

Anyways, this is how I think a daily meeting would go:

We choose a weekly moderator/host (or we can set a permanent moderator, up to everyone else). The job is of the host is to set an agenda of topics for the day and guide the discussion.

For instance, an agenda for a day could look like:

1. Trouble hands from last night.
2. Discussion of different ways to play AK in early levels.
3. Reviewing of one another's HHs.
4. Discussion of a SNG article.
5. Update on how everyone is doing.

----

Some other ideas:

1. we can all contribute money to a pot and have an internal competition amongst us to keep us motivated to play. Have a leaderboard for the week, and whoever gets 1st wins the pot. Nothing serious, just for fun.

2. Once every week, we can have people vote for a certain topic to discussed in detail, and either 1) put funds to together to hire someone for a lecture session, or 2) get someone from within the group to give out the lecture.

----

Just some ideas...guys feel free to add more ideas if you want.
