Default Vegas for Spring break - Hotels?

I am planning on going to Las Vegas for spring break because you can get flights out there for so damn cheap (282 right now round trip). My question is what are some good hotels to stay in. I have already stayed in MGM, but it seems like we can go to Excalibur for pretty cheap.

Also, if I am staying with 2 other people in a room and I am the only one planning on playing poker, can I reserve the room thru the poker room and receive a discount even though I am the only one out of my group who is going to play poker??

Any other comments/tips would be helpful. Thanks.

Yes, as long as you get your hours, the discount applies. If you play for somewhere between 4 and 6 hours u may get discount like 50% off on hotel room

Depends on the place. It was my opinion that it doesn't matter where you stay as long as it's close to where you'll spend the most time. I think I spent a total of 10 hours in our room over the course of 2 1/2 days.

I would agree with you except for the fact I want access to a decent pool during the day.

I am thinking the luxor right now...

As I am searching right now, it says:
Players Rate $69 weekdays and $129 weekends & holidays on the luxor poker page. That’s pretty good considering Travelocity is showing $279 a night for 4 people.
