Default 1/2 Crappy river decision deep w/ AA

Had villain as something like 22/15 over 50 hands with no real history.
Shoulda 3bet pf bigger as we're deepish I know. Thought his turn check behind was a little strange. At the time I bet riv because I thought checking would be losing value from weaker hands but looking back, I guess the only weaker hand which might call are 88 99 TT, maybe QQ or KK? Is this river a c/c. As played hero....?

easy river fold without extensive history, the rest of the hand is fine IMO except my default 3bet is larger (25-27).

I think you have to fold here. It sucks, but I'm pretty sure he's not shoving worse.

I dont mind the bet though since worse will call, but that fold is bad news.

I agree about 3-betting larger. One thing is to consider is that since you have the nuts PF, you'd like to get as much in the pot then as possible. In other words, if you think he'll call a re-raise to $25 as often as he'll call one to $21, then raise that [censored] up.

Correction: obviously, mathematically he doesn't have to call a 3-bet to $25 AS OFTEN as he does one to $21 in order for it to be more +EV, but my point is, get more $$$ in pre, when you are way ahead.
