Default 11$ reg: A9 Push ok?

Hi

Usually I don't push in the 11$ regs until I only have 6-8BB left (and so far this was a good strategy for me) but in this spot there was just too much money in the pot to fold right?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t60/t120

UTG+1: t1138

I fold. I think you get looked up more than you might think, with two of the limpers having big stacks.

3 limpers at t120 (some with big stacks) + small stackes = push will be called by a better hand most of the time.

I fold

This is a move I often do when I'm short in the 2's and 5's, seems to be reasonably effective there as you'll be called by the bigstacks with weaker aces and a lot of random face card hands.. I'm not sure how +EV it is in the higher limits though.

i do this a lot. range depends on the table/stacks/limpers. A9 can be fine at a lot of tables.

Calling ranges here from random 11s players are like A2+, KJ+ and random other crap. Factor in decent FE and the fact that theyre raising the top of their ranges most of the time (aka most of the hands that are better than yours) this is often a good move if timed correctly where the chips are pretty significant to your stack.

I can se your arguments here AMT, but surely there is a very high risk that you will get called by at least one of the four players having money in this pot. And then you must at best hope for a coinflip. Of course, reads here would help a lot.

You have 9BBs left. This is as good of a spot as any to get your money in - so much dead money in the pot.
