Thoughts, some pertaining to fundraising:
*Since your screenshot in the first post, the donation rate has nearly doubled!
*There is now a goal within the goal, a "Broadcast Freedom" campaign, in conjunction with the release of the first radio spot in NH, IA and SC, seeking $480,000 by the end of the weekend. The radio ad is on the front page of ronpaul2008.
*About the radio spot: the words in the ad intend an emotional introduction to Ron Paul, "the tax-payer's best friend," and seek to build an emotional connection between the listener and Ron Paul; fine, but an emotional message about the logical candidate, delivered emotionlessly, seems ineffective. Going after votes from the heart is necessary, but the announcer delivery seems contrived. Hopefully voters in those states won't feel the same way.

God, I can't believe it, but I donated $100. And I'm poor as hell.

Is there a way to see how much the other candidates are raising in real time?

Ron Paul does need money, its tough for anyone to keep up with the Clinton's. I myself will not donate (never have by the way, to any politican or party) as it is against my Religion and my ethical/moral code, such as it is, but I do urge others to donate. If you have previously donated to someone like Ralph Nader (that includes you Iron) you could certainly donate to Ron Paul. Now get with it people and whip out those credit cards.

[/ QUOTE ]i dont think youre actually a misanthrope or as indifferent to politics as you pretend to be.

when bush junior was running against kerry you went nuts with posts rallying every american to vote for the gop and ''save this country from evil'' or whatever. same thing in most political discussions wher you assume the air of the intellectual snob while you actually support mundane partisan policies. now you pretend you dont care about ronpaul but you actually endorse him through asking other posters to whip out their credit card for him.

excusmy french but i think this is hypocritical. why not own up to being a hardnosed rightwing conservative and be done with it? absolutely nothing wrong with felix nietze or copernicus.

No. Candidates occasionally post running totals of particular pledge drives, but the overall fundraising numbers are only released quarterly.

Ron will have a hard time beating Rudy. Rudy appeals to the Mormons because he has had 3 wives; he is against abortion, however, he appeals to the "right to chose" as he acknowledged his wives' right to divorce him. He knows how to play both sides of the coin.
