Really? Who would have thought New Jersey would be the #4 state in terms of GDP? It's a relatively small state. Anyone can explain this to me?

lot of big companies have HQ in NJ, NJ is most densely populated state (though, i guess this has little to do with GDP, other than to say we have a lot of people crammed in the smallish state), 11th biggest in total population, and according to wikipedia it's the 2nd wealthiest behind Connecticut but i think i remember hearing recently that NJ is #1 now?

Am I missing something? That's not what the map says. CA, TX, FL, and IL all ahead of NJ, which is ahead (!) of NY. Or are we being leveled?
