what do you think about showing cards after a walk, specifically very weak hands?
if i show 62o after a walk, do you think this will encourage action on a tight table, or make people attack my blind more often? do you think that i should never show my cards, period? just wondered what your thoughts were

OP: to answer your question, in my opinion I think that it is better to consider you tight than loose and therefore if you wish to show your cards show the good ones and not the loose ones. The low level players call too often as it is and that makes stealing difficult, you want them to fold more often so don't show your bluffs later on.

He got a walk. You know what that means, right? It has absolutely zero bearing on whether he's viewed as loose or tight.

It probably matters very little. You should have the show feature turned off anyway, IMO. There are a lot more pertinent things you probably should be worrying about as you work to improve.

Probably makes no difference but I think this is marginally bad... 2 reasons;

- What you are effectively saying is 'I would not have defended my blind here', which *might* make people more likely to raise your blinds to find out if you will defend them next time....

- It *may* irritate the people to your right and cause them to raise you more liberally in the next orbits - since you will not have a hand very often you should be more inclined to welcome walks.

Probably only minor factors but the only possible outcomes are negative - never show cards unless forced to in a showdown and you will not go far wrong.

What information are you giving them? What action are you trying to induce? Seriously, they know that you COULD have 72o in the bb when they walk. You have a random hand. It means, that they didn't like how their random hand matches up, out of position, against another random hand.

It's stupid to show because it just slows down the game.

As for showing any other time. Most people aren't going to do it correctly. Showing gives information every time. And not false information. Usually complete information. If you show 1/10 hands you raise and only show your good hands, what's that tell people? It means you are raising a lot of garbage.

If you show a good hand in a steal position one orbit, you are basically saying you are aware you are in a stealing position. So, next time I raise in this stealing position, it will most likely be a steal.

You have to have a very specific reason to show, like to tilt a player or something. This is rarely useful in a short stack, short time frame, sng.
