sportsbooks asking for your password in live chat
whenever i initiate live chat with a sportsbook, they always ask me for my account number and password. is there any security danger to typing out one's password in a supposedly secure live chat window?

Not unless the guys spying on you are using really, really good crypto tools and are within a few feet.

Re: sportsbooks asking for your password in live chat
i've never had a sportsbook ask for my password before, but I'd probably call them instead

Re: sportsbooks asking for your password in live chat
Bookmaker has done this to me, so I simply told them that it wasn't a secure connection and continued with my question. Didn't seem to bother them.

Re: sportsbooks asking for your password in live chat
some books won't even continue the conversation when i give them the password with one letter changed to X. i usually call at that point too. today i was lazy (and sick of calling this book so much) and gave the password, which is why i asked.
