Sounds like you're interested in a very targeted local price history rather than a major metro area, in which case you might be better off looking through something like Domania:

Just enter an address that roughly corresponds to the center of your desired target area and select the "homes in this neighborhood" option.

FYI, the "fuzzy logic" Domania uses to determine what constitutes a "neighborhood" is sketchy at best, so you'll be best off in this case if you can narrow it to street level (if possible).

I am not quite sure how to read these prices, but theoretically you can derive an implied prediction from them. Also, I think they are fairly thinly traded, so that would also call into question the strength of their predictive power.
