*WORLD SERIES GAME 2 THREAD: Rockies (Jimenez) @ Red Sox (Schilling)*
Big, big game tonight. Last night's final score doesn't matter and the potential for a Sox let down is huge. 1-1 back to Denver was Colorado's goal to begin with.
Going for the Rocks: Anything has to be better than last night AMIRITE? Schilling is getting by on guts more than stuff these days, and the meat of the Colorado lineup has to be smarting from last night, looking at you Brad Hawpe. Going for the Sox: Lineup remains red hot. Rookie Rockie on the mound. Schilling's guts and guile still seem to go a long way. Real chance to step on their necks. Prediction: Much closer game if Jiminez makes it through 3 inning relatively unscathed then it's a classic playoff nail biter.

rockies got around on some beckett fastballs last night, they looked rusty but their lineup has some pop. curt euro has to be NAILS. my prediction: it'll be something like 5-3 sox going into the late innings and then the rockies will get lit up again. ship it.

I know I blew off last nights game making it seem unimportant.. I really did feel that was a loss regardless.
That being said for us to win this series we need tonights game. This is a very very important game, and I really believe we can hit Schilling. It all comes down to Jimenez. Unfortunately he is a wildcard so we need him to be in the zone tonight. He has great stuff when he is in the zone. I won't have the same excited tone about still getting it done if we drop this one, though. Go Rocks!
