Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
[ QUOTE ]
Flop check is good cause you either WA/WB. He probably c/fs all non A/7 hands to a flop bet so checking allows him to bluff later streets and you to lose less when your behind Id probably call river cause Im a station [/ QUOTE ] I snap-called river and Villain showed AQo for higher kicker. I went back to check and his AF was slightly less than 1 so I wasn't really sure. |

I really like the way you played it, I think river is an easy call since you induced him to bet into you.

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
Call river. Betting the flop is pretty bad IMO. Who cares if "sb took control of the hand"? Being a TAG is not about being aggressive all the time.

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
I like the flop check, but I'm not sure about what to do on the river. Villain is passive...do you really think he's bluffing here? This really looks like AJAQAK to me. River agg factor would help here a lot. In my experience, this is a call at 100 and a fold at 200 because villains bluff river a lot more at 100. Either way it's close, so what you do doenst matter all that much.

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
This hand is played perfectly if you now call river. No need to bet that flop, absolutely MUST call the turn as played and should USUALLY call the river without a specific read or very worrying Hud stat to suggest otherwise.

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
Flop check should be meant to extract value. As such, you should be calling turn and river.

If i thought the villain was the type to bluff the ace on later streets then i would check and just let them fire. Usually i'm betting this though for around 2/3 pot with most of my 3 betting range |

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
I assume everyone who says call would play KK exactly the same way here?
