Default Is Stud Dead in Vegas?

The biggest stud game I've seen since I've been here is 20-40 at the Bellagio. There used to be 10-20,15-30,20-40,30-60,40-80,75-150 and 150-300 on a regular basis.

This is unbelievable. What happened? I know it's not because of the no-limit games, because those people aren't stud players. I even saw Rod Pardee playing 20-40.

Boy, I guess times sure do change. Too bad.

I asked what happened to stud in Vegas some time ago and the replies were that it was hard to find much at all going on now. In Hold em there can be amore hands per hour dealt=more rakes=more profit for the caisnos so I'm sure they are just fine with more HE games.

I think it's fun. And it's even more fun if it allows you to play something other that HE all the time. ALL the time. HE, HE, HE, HE, HE and MORE HE, every day in practically every card room.

GD TEE-VEE.

75/150 and 50/100 will become a regular fixture once again at the Bellagio in exactly 1 week. This will last until mid July. do you see why?

While I'm not the greatest, I love Stud, more than hold'em. No low limit games ever to learn by though

To be honest Im not even good at stud, but I'd play. I'm trying it on internet for cheap learning. I wish the casinos can spread everything though. Wish casinos had PLO, but they don't. Also wish they made casinos that only had poker. Imagine. Maybe a tit bar downstairs too for tournys. Oh well what can you do. Maybe when I get rich I'll invest my money in that. Anybody know any good beginner books for Stud? Not for hi/lo. Just can't figure it out. The more you poker you know the better you become though.

If you're interested in books for Stud, the best out there is Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players...published by 2+2 obviously. If you have any experience w/stud, its probably enough to learn from this book. Most beginner books for stud are crap.

Chip Reese also wrote some good material in Super System on stud.
