Nintendo DS: European console + US games. Compatibility?

Will I have any problems if I buy a NDS console in Europe but use games bought in the US or Asia?

Don't take this as absolute gospel but all the Nintendo handhelds, including the DS, are free from any region encoding restrictions.

EDIT: To clarify, I can't vouch that you won't have any difficulties, but in theory all games should work.

A Japanese, European and American DS are all the same, except there might be a different label on the back.
