Default Why is Poker Tracker lagging so much its timming me out costing me $?

My poker tracker lag is so bad my screen is freezing on every import or at least slowing to crawl speed. I compact the databases and HH's often, so what gives? I'm folding sets after raising pre, timming out when any observant opponent can steal the pot with a min bet, with me "sitting out".

How can I make this problem disapear? I'll even go so far as to buy a new computer. This timming out with sets is tilting the hell out of me; I'm usualy very good with this too. Anyone have an anser for this.

What kind of computer do you have? Processor speed? Amount of memory? How often are you importing hands? On average, how many hands is it importing at a time? What else do you have running while you are playing?

Why are you importing while playing? Why not after the session?

Does PAHUD require PT to auto-import to keep stats current?

Yes, PA will only show stats on what is in the PT database. If you are not importing while you play, the database is not changed, therefore PA will not update the stats.

How big is your database? If you have a huge number hand/players, this may cause slow down. I only keep a years worth a data in PT. That seemed to help a lot.

I'm running Virtual PC on mac. The only things I have running while playing are pockertracker and gametime. I can't be using that much memory, as all I run in Virtual PC are poker programs. I'm not very computer literate with windows how do I check the speed, mem, ect?

I'm importing every 4 min because if I wait longer the lag is even worse when it does import.

I've just recently purged my database to see if that was it, I'm not sure how I check how large it is now.

I had l limited success just basically turning all the animations, avatars, and sound off on fulltilt. I also changed to classic setting on XP.
I think I'm just going to build up a PC from scratch. I need PAHUD and Stud tracker and neither work for this setup.

Anyways thanks for the feedback.
