They will use a third party platform for software but the characteristics of each each site will stay the same. Not sure about tournies.

Not sure of all the details, but characteristics such as the sites will both look the same as they do now. The only difference will be that the players will be pooled from both sites.

Any idea if they're going with 9 or 10 player tables? Also wondering if they're going to keep different skins and different bonuses, or if they're all going to come together (probably under AP's crappy bonus system if they do, I bet [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]).

well, they just merged their affiliate programs (more or less).
my prediction, which i'm pulling out of my butt, is that they'll share tables within a year.

I'm amazed they haven't merged already. I would have thought that the plan was to get them together as quickly as possible. Sites thrive from critical mass, and both UB and AP are losing ground as of late. If they combined their player pools, maybe this wouldn't be the case?
