Default Value bet here? 10nl

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

River: ($8.10) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero ????

Villain running at 37/0/3 over only 21 hands.

I do have trips, however I feel there is a reasonable chance I'm up against a set. Is checking here awful, or a reasonable move?

chek and call. I think he might also have an ace, maybe a flush draw that missed. He will bet the river with hands he won't call with.

Those stats are from a very small sample. But my guess is that he could also have an ace and you might have a better kicker, which leads me to think that he could already have a full, unless of course he had a set and made it that way.

Since villain has about a pot-sized stack left and has shown strength, I think you will probably get to play for stacks regardless if you bet or check. If you check he might only bet $4-5 though and I'm not folding. If he was raising the flop with a draw he probably missed so if you check he might bet with a weaker hand, since you checked the turn.

I dont think you're up against a busted draw, but I'd c/call the river anyway.

If you're not folding to a push here I would bet this river.

Villain's combination of bets on flop and turn seem to me like AhXh (tried to build pot on flop for flush draw and bet half pot to push you off weaker checked hand on turn). I'd bet 2/3 pot on river and fold to raise.

So you'd bet 5.50 and fold for 2.50 more?

If we are are betting and calling a shove should we not just shove it ourselves?

No-one holding an Ace will find a fold here and everyhand that beat us will most likely raise us all-in anyway.

We have zero FE against better hands, and a missed draw will not call AI, so what's the point in a shove? I guess any Ace will bet the river if we check, and maybe villain can bluff with a weaker hand.
