Default is hud compatible with macs?

You can run the various HUD programs on a Mac only from:

- Parallels, running an emulated Windows
- VMWare Fusion, running an emulated Windows
- Bootcamp, with an installed copy of Windows

I don't know of any HUD that is native to the Mac.

PAHUD will not work if you are running VMWARE FUSION
but, PAHUD will work if you are using Parallels

the free HUD for FT works in VMWARE FUSION
and i'm not sure about boot camp

i'd be extremely surprised if boot camp didn't work in exactly the same way as windows on another intel computer. bootcamp's really a boot loader + hardware drivers.
