Aces with a large cold-call 5/10
5/10 PokerStars 8 handed
Ive been at the table about 20 hands, no significant hands of note. No history with villian, as far as I know he is solid. Effective stacks 1k. I raise AdAs to 40 from the hijack, sb calls, bb calls. Flop comes K 4 6 rainbow. Check, bb bets 70, I make it 230, sb cold-calls, bb folds. Turn is blank Q no fd out there. Pot is ~650 Villian checks, Hero? Im questioning this here because I don't see cold-calls for large %s of opponents stacks very often on non-draw heavy boards... |

Ok I agree its a fairly easy check.
I checked river pairs Q. K46QQ. Villian jams his stack in fairly quickly....hero? |

Re: Aces with a large cold-call 5/10
Yes check it, call a bet on the river(if not to big) and value-bet if he checks again.
*edit* fold river when he jams. He's got KQ, 44,66? |

Re: Aces with a large cold-call 5/10
CHECK CHECK CHECK.
EDIT: UNLESS SB is a total nit who will call with like K2o (trust me, those nits exist). If that is the case, you may want to take him to value town. |

You still need to bet the turn card.

Re: Aces with a large cold-call 5/10
villian has got to have a set large % of time given how he played hand...i mean what else can he be check smooth calling a raise then re-raise of $230, especially even when he calls the $230 action doesnt end since SB(original raiser) can possibly raise again...Unless villian is a donk this is almost a guaranteed set, I cant see a non donk making this call with KQ on flop.
