Default Ok to min raise here?

I have CO at 37/1.25 over 80 hands, no stats on BB.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($106.15)
SB ($456.80)
BB ($144.70)
UTG ($83.65)
Hero ($828.65)
CO ($257.03)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2.
1 fold, Hero raises to $16, CO calls $16, 2 folds, BB calls $12.

Flop: ($50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

What do you hope to accomplish with the minraise?
You need him to fold AJ/AT?
Or do you like giving straight draws good odds?

If you hoping that he will 3bet with hands that beat you so you can safely fold - i 3bet minraises often with draws as well, cause it's looks exactly what it is.

I was trying to isolate BB without building the pot, ie getting CO to fold for the minimum. I would have called a push from BB given CO folded. Didnt realise what good odds I was giving BB tbh

Calling a push here from an unknown BB is not something I recommend. Also, I'd raise a bit more, especially if you plan to call a push. The possible reason I see for min.raising is to get away cheaply if there is more heavy action, but since you don't intend to do that, there is even more reason to raise bigger to charge draws etc. (Of course, some nit is gonna point out that the min.raise looks weak and will make a draw more likely to push, but I don't think this scenario is very likely at all).

EDIT: Disregard most of this. I assumed 100BB stacks and am a donk!

kongo are you serious? the bb has ~$140 to start the hand, folding this to a push from him is really bad.

i'm gonna go against the grain and say i don't like it though. on this board a loose co can call with a lot of hands that we want him to fold given we are oop and there are a fair ammount of scary cards for us on the turn. obviously from an ev standpoint we want him to call us, but if he is going to call $48 with a hand like 89 he may call more. i would jack it up to 84 or so and call if bb pushes and then if co calls i'd probably check re-eval turn and definitely fold if he 3-bets flop.

another advantage to raising bigger here is i would feel more worried if co tagged along because even though he may peel some of the same hands he would for 48 as he would or 84, his range must be narrowed somewhat imo.
