i'm getting thru it on vacation and think it is really, really good..... and you somewhat can overlook the math. i basically take the math as given and skim over it (looking more at the assumptions), but there is tons of content independent of the math.

BTW, showed it to a top economics professor who knows some about poker and he thought it was a great book.
is very sketchy.

what is bill chan's full-time job? his bio seems to be purposely vague.

Doesn't Bill CHEN thank his employer IN THE BOOK for allowing him (Bill) to take time off from wortk to write and play!?!

Also, what's up with your 2nd to last sentence? What is sketchy (besides your reading and writing skills in this thread?)?

thanks for the heads-up on the foreward though... bill works for susquehanna (now that's now spell-checked LOL).

He's a quantitative analyst at Susquehanna. I think he works in statistical arbitrage.

He's a vocalist in a popular boy band overseas, notable for his dancing and live performances. I'm sure you can understand him wanting to keep a low-profile.
