Default anti-bot solution

Whenever there is a profound suspician of botting, a site could demand a webcamupload of the mousemovements from the player.
The site can then compare those uploads with the logs and see if they correlate. This would be very, very hard to get round for a botter.
It would also provide the suspected player the chance to show he is not botting.

Of course, u would only bother a very small percentage of the players, and its not to much work for the site as they can work with a small sample size off the the uploaded video material.

bot problem solved?

A video is not necessary to detect mouse movements. I believe that some sites already have the capability to detect them automatically.

I think it's a straightforward task to simulate mouse movements BTW.

i mean the actual, fysical mouse movements.
they can than compare the video with the softwarelogs and/or the traced on-screen mousemovements.

not exploitable imo, as there is no need for the monitor to be cammed.

Fysically speaking, it's not a great idea.

Why?

I understand its a bit of work for both the suspected botter and the site, but wont u agree it will give botters a very hard time to get round this?
Clearly sites have a problem getting 100% evidence, wont this solution give them all they need?

So what you are saying is everyone would have to record themself moving the mouse and plaing poker. Just in case the poker site asked for the video.
