Re: Flop the nuts and get check-raised
I would call with position.
They'll be 1k in the pot going to the turn and he'll have about double that, he'll most often lead > 1/2 pot and youll be able to get it in. |

Re: Flop the nuts and get check-raised
w/o a flush draw on board i think i'd just flat. we'll still stack lower straights regardless i'd think, but this way we let top pair and random straight draws improve. although flatting risks losing action from sets/two pairs if turn is 7/8/q/k, i don't think it's very likely he has set/2 pair as it is given the flop action.

Re: Flop the nuts and get check-raised
His min C-R is definitely signaling strength from a hand I dont see him getting away from on the flop. I would make it 800 which most of the time entices a push. If you smooth call and raise his 1/2 pot bet from villain on turn, he will be more likely to get away from it since u stank of strength. There are also a ton of cards that halt action that could peel on turn. I try to get it in on flop.

Re: Flop the nuts and get check-raised
I agree with Shaundeeb I would make the smallest possible three bet so I can shove turn and so he won't fold AQ or w/e.
