I am often giving up here with my missed hands in 3bet pots and took this line, because i thought if i bet again he will fold lots of his SPP. Do you think this is right? Am i vbetting and if yes, am i calling if he pushes? |

Do you mind the turn check and to how much should b/f? 500? [/ QUOTE ] i'd bet turn (which i might do with air to to get him to fold 88-TT etc), but as played i'd bet $500 and fold to a raise for ~$800 more, i don't think he's ever going to be bluffing you cos your odds are so good. |

Don`t you think with his stats he`s crazy enough to value shove worse hands?

Re: Did this donk really catch up here?
I check call a river value bet of 650 or less b/c
- gain value from bluff/hand of lesser value -get to see his hand for around the same amount you would have bet and he would have raised or folded in which you get to see nothing and gain no info - I dont like bet folding because it gains you no valuable information because of the likely fold/raise. Not seeing his cards leaves some doubt. I dont do this all the time and this is the first time i have actually wrote it down and thought about its value. Bet turn is your best move which was already established. |

Re: Did this donk really catch up here?
I like the check on the turn. It makes it seem like you had nothing. I don't think the J hurt us at all. In fact, I love that card. He hasn't given any indication that he has a J and his line makes it seem like he has an underpair to the J so the flush shouldn't worry you. Worst case scenario he has a FH. So there's two things you can do; 1) c/c the river if he bets. If he doesn't then you may have lost some money on the end if he checks behind you; or 2) bet about 2/3 of the pot and he may pay you off if he has TT or lower thinking you just have overcards and just trying to buy the pot, which is why the J is such a great card (for him in his mind and for us).
I think #2 is your best bet, albeit, not the most conservative of the two. If you do get raised you can be fairly sure he's not bluffing. |

Sorry, I didn't see you were talking about the river. I'm not sure if I like bet/folding anything vs this guy.
