Default What sports moment made you the happiest/saddest?

I was thinking about this.

When Ozzie Smith homered off some Dodgers pitcher in like the 1985 Championship Series, that broke my heart. I remember being in tears at like 10 years old.

And happiest was some Giants vs. 49ers Monday Night Football game.

I had lost like 400 bucks on the weekend betting sports, and made a 800 dollar bet on the game.

Garrison Hearst broke through for a long running touchdown late in the game to seal the deal for the 7 pt. spread.

I was sooooooooooo happy.

Curious what other people have as their highs and lows.

HIGH: 2004 NFCCG. Eagles finally make it to the Super Bowl.

LOW: 2002 NFCCG. I was at the game in the 700 level. By far the worst of the three NFCCG losses. Quite possibly the worst loss in Philly history.

Hearst busted through for a 99 yard TD after getting shut down the entire game. Awesome play, and personally one of my favorites as a 49ers fan. They did a "Top MNF football moments" the first week either for the Thursday game or before the Monday double header and I think this was #1. Probably the closest thing to a walkoff you can get in football

I was on the other side of that. Top three best:

1. Broncos first SB win
2. Ozzie HR
3. Jack Clark's HR the next game

Top three worst:

1. Michael Andretti breaking with 11 laps to go in 1992 Indy 500
2. 1985 World Series
3. Elways first SB loss

A mention should go out to the Pujols HR vs Lidge a couple years ago but that was tempered because it was only delaying the eventual outcome.

1. It was against the Jets.
2. It was 96 yards
3. Hearst had run 19 times for 91 yards and 1 TD before breaking the big TD. He had not been shut down the entire game.
