Default Pechanga Poker Room

I'm going to be down at Pechanga for a wedding at the end of the month. What's everyones take on their poker room, any weird buyins for 2/5 5/10? I know nothing about the place outside of the fact that their room recently opened / was remodeled.

Not a whole lot of remodeling done at Pechanga. The buy-ins are pretty straightforward --- $100-$300 for their $2-$3 game, and $300-$500 for a $5-$5 game. Seen a bigger game occasionally, but not on a regular basis. Not sure what it is for the lower NL games (I think they have a $1-$2 for up to $100 buyin, or something like that). Nice, large poker room, good food too (I recommend their breakfast sandwiches), and decent action.

By the way --- don't be tempted to play their weekend morning tournaments -- 300+ players at $25 a clip makes for a nice prize pool, but the structure is horrible. It's basically all-in or nothing after 1/2 hour.

as far as their lower limit games go, you can play 2/4, 3/6, 4/8 hold 'em, 3/6 omaha h/l...for NL, they offer $40 buy-in table as well.

3/6 and higher limit and $100NL and higher have drops of $4+1 (bad beat). No flop drop is $1.

Best game is the 8-16 with a Kill or the 300-500 buy-in NL game. WHEN they get a bigger game going... it's all the same locals who have a tendency to soft play eachother. A bunch of them buy-in for $10K each... but the money is RARELY getting moved around.

Reminds me of a bunch of guys who just want to rock-out with their [censored]-out.

That being said... you can make a good profit at the other two games I mentioned.
